The Plant-Bacteria Interaction group (Plant-Bi)
The Plant-Bacteria Interaction group (Plant-Bi) develops its research at the Institute of Subtropical and Mediterranean Horticulture (IHSM)-UMA-CSIC located at the prolongation of the Campus Teatinos of the University of Malaga (UMA). The group is led by Cayo Ramos (PhD) and Luis Rodríguez (PhD), Full Professor and Associate Professor, respectively, of the Genetics Area of UMA and researchers belonging to the Group “Biology and control of plant diseases” at the IHSM. The interests of the Plant-Bi group focus in the study of the interactions of phytopathogenic bacteria with herbaceous and woody plants of agricultural interest, with special interest in the genetic and molecular mechanisms used by bacteria during their interaction with the host plant.
